Cancellation and Refund Policy

Introduction

At  Chilika Tours & Travels , we understand that plans can change. This Cancellation and Refund Policy (“Policy”) outlines the terms and conditions under which you may cancel your bookings and the circumstances in which refunds may be issued. By making a booking with us, you agree to this Policy.

1. General Cancellation Terms

1.1 Cancellation Requests: All cancellation requests must be made in writing and sent to bookings@chilikaluxuryboat.com. The date of receipt of the cancellation request will be considered the effective date of cancellation.

1.2 Cancellation Fees: Cancellation fees apply to all bookings and vary depending on the timing of the cancellation and the specific services booked. The following general rules apply unless otherwise stated in the specific terms of your booking:

  • Cancellation more than 7 days before the check in  date: 30% of the total booking cost will be refunded.
  • Cancellation between  8  and 30 days before the check in date: 15% of the total booking cost will be refunded.
  • Cancellation less than 30 days before the departure date: 10% refund will be issued.

1.3 Non-Refundable Services: Certain services may be non-refundable once booked. This includes, but is not limited to, special offers, promotional packages, last-minute bookings, and certain third-party services such as flights or accommodations. These will be clearly indicated at the time of booking.


3. Changes to Bookings

3.1 Changes by the Customer:

  • If you wish to change your booking (e.g., change of dates, destination, or services), please contact us as soon as possible. Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional fees. We cannot guarantee that changes will be possible.

3.2 Changes by [Your Company Name]:

  • In rare cases, we may need to make significant changes to your booking due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, political instability, or other force majeure events). If this occurs, we will offer you the choice of accepting the change, selecting an alternative arrangement, or receiving a full refund.

4. Refund Process

4.1 Refund Requests:

  • Refund requests must be submitted in writing to bookings @chilikaluxuryboat.com. Please allow 7 business days for us to process your refund.

4.2 Method of Refund:

  • Refunds will be issued using the same method of payment used for the original booking unless otherwise agreed. Any applicable bank or transaction fees will be deducted from the refund amount.

4.3 Partial Refunds:

  • In cases where only a portion of the booking is canceled, a partial refund will be issued corresponding to the canceled services.

5. No-Show Policy

  • If you fail to arrive for your tour, accommodation, or other booked services without prior cancellation, you will not be eligible for a refund. This is considered a “no-show,” and 100% of the booking cost will be charged.

6. Force Majeure

  • In the event of force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, war, pandemics), we may not be able to offer refunds. We will, however, work with you to reschedule your trip or offer alternative options where possible.
